Charming
Bed & Breakfast in a lovely stone cottage near Much
Wenlock
A very warm
welcome awaits you at Old Quarry Cottage at Brockton here
in the beautiful Corvedale. It is a wonderful part of Shropshire,
and yet is so conveniently placed.
You will find
everything is peaceful, quiet and relaxing amidst a rural
village atmosphere. An added bonus is that we are only a
short stroll from the renowned Feathers Inn gastro-pub.
But not far
away are many delightful market towns - Much Wenlock, Bridgnorth,
Ludlow, Church Stretton, Shrewsbury and Ironbridge Gorge.
Not
only is Much Wenlock a stunningly beautiful medieval town,
it also played a part in the birth of the modern Olympic
Games. Much Wenlock is the birthplace of Dr William Penny
Brookes, the inspiration for the modern Olympic Movement
and founder of the Wenlock
Olympian Society. In recognition of our sporting heritage,
the 2012 London Olympic Games have named one of their mascots
Wenlock.
And all around
is excellent walking country amongst the beautiful Shropshire
Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
We really enjoy
living here and our guests tell us they really enjoy staying
here too.
We offer
bed and breakfast accommodation in two en-suite
bedrooms in the cottage, plus the adjacent Coach
House Suite.
